Dear guests,
By booking with Hermes Cruise, you are acknowledging and agreeing to adhere to the following policies that are applicable to all our customers. We kindly ask you to review them carefully and reach out to us with any inquiries you may have.

1. Payment policy

To secure your reservation, you are required to make a deposit of 30% of the total booking cost. The balance of the payment is to be settled no later than 15 days prior to the check-in date. 

Hermes Cruises use a reliable money transfer service provided by a trustworthy third-party institution, 9pay bank & Onepay.
Please kindly understand that a 3% service fee will be charged for payment by credit card. This fee belongs to the bank and we only receive the net cost.

2. Cancellation policy

2.1 Canceled by customer

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before check-in: No charges apply.
  • Cancellation 16 to 30 days before check-in: A 30% charge of the total rate will be applied.
  • Cancellation 0 to 15 days before check-in: Full charges apply. 

2.2 Canceled by Hermes Cruise

According to law of Quang Ninh Local Port Authority, in any natural disaster such as strong winds, monsoons, thunderstorms, cyclones, and storms …), Quang Ninh Local Port Authority has the right to cancel all cruises on a particular day to ensure the safety of tourists.

 In those cases, following policies will be applied:

 a, If the cancellation is informed before guests depart from Hanoi to Halong Bay (and guests have not used any services yet), a 100% refund will be provided.

 b, If the cancellation is informed during the trip (after guests have already used some services such as transfer, lunch, day trip, or hotel in Halong), only the actual fees for these services will be charged, and the remaining amount will be refunded in full.

3. Children policy

3.1 Children rate policy

·      01 Child under 5 years old sharing a bed with parents: Complimentary.

·      01 Child from 5 to 10 years old sharing a bed with parents (or using an extra bed): 75% of the adult’s rate.

·      Children aged 11 and above: Full charge at the adult rate.

·      02 Children under 5 years old sharing a room with parents: 01 Child stays free of charge, while the other child incurs a 50% charge based on the adult rate.

3.2 Extra bed and baby crib policy

·      Baby crib: Complimentary. 

·      Extra bed for children: 75% of the adult rate.

·      Extra bed for adults: Full charge at the adult rate.

4. Holiday surcharge

Christmas – 24th Dec and New Year – 31st Dec.

  • Adults & Children > 11 years old: US $60/pax 
  • Children from 5 to 11 years old: US $45/pax 
  • Children under 5 years old: Free 

5. Rights & obligations of each party

Passenger list 

Customers must submit to Hermes Cruises the following information for all passengers at least one (3) day before the cruise date.

  • Full names
  • Dates of birth
  • Nationalities
  • Passport numbers 
  • Passport expiry date

All passengers must embark with a valid passport and Vietnam visa. Hermes Cruises reserves the right not to carry a passenger without a valid visa, without a valid passport, or submission of passenger’s details at least one (1) day before the cruise date.

Children whose travel documents are included in a parent’s passport must travel with that parent. Failure to comply may result in penalties being imposed by local authorities which shall be borne by Hermes Cruises. We reserve the right to release bookings under the above circumstances.

Pick-up & Drop off service

We provide pick-up and drop-off services only within the Hanoi Old Quarter. If you’re staying outside this area, please meet us at the Hanoi Opera House. 
We’ll pick you up from your hotel lobby between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. We’ll confirm the exact time with you at around 5:30 PM the day before your cruise.
Please be ready on time as delays affect the schedule for everyone. Being punctual helps us ensure a smooth boarding process in Halong Bay. 

Late arrival

Unless otherwise agreed,  customers are responsible for the timely check-in (at 11:20 AM) at Hermes Cruise Lounge. In the event of a late arrival, the vessel is not obliged to delay departure. Should the customer arrives at the pier late, a tender service may be arranged at an extra charge to the customer. The tender service is subject to availability.

Transfer of guests

In the event Hermes Cruises is unable to provide cruise services for passengers with confirmed reservations, Hermes Cruises shall organize, to its best endeavors, the transfer of passengers to another cruise operator. Hermes Cruises shall bear the costs of transport and any reasonable additional costs incurred on the occasion of this transfer. We shall at all times endeavor to serve all confirmed passengers.
